Our first step is to speak with you in person so we can fully understand your exact expectations and match the right driver-guide to your interests. Technology is great, but nothing beats having that one to one call to ensure your journey with us starts on the right track. This discovery call will also allow us to brief you on private experiences not readily available to the general public.

Bespoke Experiences

Our in country expertise means we focus on giving you authentic, interesting experiences aligned with your personal interests. Private expertly guided tours of castles, museums, caves and gardens or genealogy experiences allowing you to fully prepare for a step back into your ancestry past bringing your family history to life. Our bespoke itinerary planning caters for all generations and often have groups that include grandchildren, parents and grandparents all travelling together but looking for individual experiences designed to their age groups. We love the challenge and nothing beats the reward we get from ensuring you go home happy and delighted with your travel experience.

At Your Service

Your travel designer will remain your key point of contact guiding you through the enquiry phase, booking formalities and on hand for any assistance/changes that may occur whilst you are in country. On arrival your personally assigned By Appointment DMC driver-guide will meet with you at your hotel, review your planned adventure together and remain with you until its time to head back home.

Our Travel Specialists

Our Travel Team is led and inspired by Gillian who joined By Appointment DMC having worked for 15 years in the travel & tourism industry. Gillian has travelled across the USA & Europe throughout her career and has gained extensive experience working in a variety of positions in the tourism sector in Ireland. Her previous roles have included US Account Director at Event Partners International and Sales & Marketing Manager of the Conferencing & Events office at the University of Limerick.

Her passion has been Destination Management for many years having worked with Ireland’s top DMCs. She has also achieved a Masters in International Tourism from the University of Limerick.

We are wrapping up what has been an amazing vacation and I thought I’d provide some feedback.

Our Driver was fantastic. Engaging a driver for our countryside tour was a bit of an extravagance, but well worth the added expense. The car was comfortable, Pat was helpful, informative and fun and the removal of all logistical planning freed us up to relax and enjoy.

Cashel palace was lovely and rock of cashel was fascinating, (Kerry) jaunting car was fun, loved Muckross, bought a vest and a half dozen hats. The gardens are a MUST see. Killarney was great, cliffs of mother were stunning, the ring of Kerry is breathtaking. We were skeptical about inis Mor, but it turned out to be a highlight. We loved the stonewalls. Great to have a local take you away from the crowds.
Loved Galway. Amazing nightlife and the best pizza I’ve had outside of New York.

We will leave Ireland tomorrow feeling as if we really got to know Ireland. I love the country ( I think I prefer the west coast to the city) and I’d like to come back to see Northern Ireland and to revisit my favorite spots.
